Course Description:

This course is intended for building engineers with Niagara Systems that want to dig deeper into the system.  This is an intermediate 2-day course and attendees should have advanced computer skills.

Overview:

In this course, the student will learn parts of the Niagara N4 system.  The course will cover the system architecture, manipulate alarms, manipulate histories, and edit graphics.  This is a hands-on class where approximately half of the class time will be spent working on lab exercises that will reinforce the lecture material.  The class will start with a demo Niagara database.  There will be a test and class survey on the last day to show progress and help improve future classes. 

Course Prerequisites:

  • Proficient knowledge of Windows OS
  • Extensive experience and training with HVAC and DDC systems
  • Successful completion of Niagara 4 Browsers class offered by LONG

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Understand the Niagara system architecture
  • Configure Niagara objects
  • Backup databases
  • Setup logging and archives
  • Adding points to the Niagara network
  • Modifying Px pages
  • Manage alarms via console

What You Will Receive:

Upon the completion of this course students will receive a Certificate of Completion and individual test scores.  We will provide course materials including Niagara manual, user guides, and product data sheets where applicable.  Breakfast (coffee and donuts) and lunch will be provided each day.
