I recently had my first opportunity to travel through the New Salt Lake International Airport, which opened on September 15th, 2020. The previous airport was more than 50 years old, and was intended to serve half as many travelers as it was now doing.

It was time for an upgrade, with bigger and more efficient facilities that could serve over 26 million travelers a year. Although there is a 50K+ sq. ft. 3D canyon-like mural, new shops and restaurants, as well as new security equipment, it was the Krueger DPL Drum Louver Grilles that caught my eye!

LONG’s Colorado and Utah Sales team worked together to secure the first two phases of this multi-year, $4.1B project. Our Air Distribution lines are well represented in the facility, including the following product lines:

Superior Radiant:            Infrared Space Heaters

Runtal:                                Radiant Baseboard Panels

Overall, LONG secured $2.7M of Air Distribution equipment on the project, meeting an expeditious construction timeline, as the opening date was pulled up due to limited travelers during the COVID epidemic. On your next trip to or through Salt Lake City, you will enjoy the new airport and the thermal comfort that LONG and our partners delivered!
