Rewards Programs

LONG has a variety of programs for managers and co-workers to show their appreciation for your work. Those who win Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year receive acknowledgment and awards. We also celebrate employees’ tenure at 5-year intervals and gifts are associated with each level. Our unique Coin Program allows employees to publicly and officially thank their peers when they’ve gone above and beyond. The nominator presents their co-worker with a LONG-branded coin, which can then be used to “purchase” special rewards.

Tuition Assistance

LONG encourages and supports employees furthering their education and contribution to the company. Rather than a reimbursement program that asks employees to pay for their education up front and wait until the end of the semester to be reimbursed, LONG offers a scholarship program that pays schools directly and prior to the start of the semester. This program offers up to $10,000 per year toward an applicable degree.

Safety is our primary concern. We adhere to all safety standards and regulations from OSHA, EPA, DOT, and more, and ensure our team members keep their certifications up to date. We continuously train on safety and provide the tools and resources necessary to establish habits to prevent injuries, property damage, and fleet accidents. We also have a Stop Work policy where all employees are expected to stop work if an unsafe environment is identified, and are empowered to remedy the situation before continuing work. Engineering

Our engineers at LONG specialize in mechanical and electrical systems and applications. We offer internships and full-time work programs. Our market-oriented product design and innovation is led by the best of the best. Whether it’s on the mechanical side or the building automation side, we have opportunities to suit many desires and interests.

Project Management

LONG is comprised of four business units – Building Environments, Building Intelligence, Mechanical Solutions, and Security Solutions. Each unit operates a little differently, but most of them have needs for skilled project managers who can manage both material and people from start of a job to finish.

Technicians

Our technicians work within building automation, mechanical solutions and security solutions to provide top-notch customer service, troubleshooting and repair services. Our technicians get hands on training with experienced technicians before they are allowed to work on their own so we can ensure the quality of their work and their overall knowledge of the systems they are working with.

Sales

Our sales teams are diverse and complex. We have sales representatives under every business unit within LONG, but they are all working toward the same goals – to help grow the business and be better than they were the day before. Sales positions we offer include but are not limited to:

  • Sales Engineers for Equipment Sales (Equipment Sales)
  • Sales Engineers for Building Automation (New and Existing Building Automation)
  • Sales Engineers for Security Solutions (Security, Access Controls & Surveillance)
  • Sales Engineers for Mechanical Solutions (Service Sales)

Warehouse

Within our warehouses, we have positions from Material Handlers, Warehouse Assistants, Warehouse Supervisors to Warehouse Managers. Our warehouse staff are extremely driven, positive, happy to help wherever they can, and always interested in seeking out new challenges and growth opportunities.

Administrative & Support

Our Administrative & Support staff includes Administrative Assistants, Office Managers, our Accounting department and our HR department. These teams all provide invaluable services, knowledge and resources to the entire company. Some of the positions you can find within these departments include:
