Procurement Vehicles for Commercial Buildings

LONG Building Technologies has been awarded 2 different procurement vehicles that can be used throughout Alaska: NASPO and WSIPC. We can assist you with the application process and help ensure you get the solutions you need to improve your commercial facility!

Procurement vehicles are purchasing programs that simply and fast-track the acquisition of services through pre-negotiated contracts with agreed upon markups and labor rates. Companies can benefit from the national purchasing power from these master agreements, circumventing their traditionally lengthy purchasing process and receiving open book pricing and faster deliverables. Utilizing a procurement vehicle like NASPO or WSIPC has a variety of benefits:

  • Cost savings – agreed upon pricing means you’ll save money
  • Time savings – avoid the standard bidding process and cut 4-6 months off an overall project
  • Resource savings – internal resources will not be tied up on extensive RFP labor
  • Reliability – awarded vendors are vetted, trustworthy, and compliant
  • Choice of vendor – don’t just default to the lowest bidder; choose who you want to work with

Facility managers and directors, operations managers, IT directors, and procurement specialists can utilize these vehicles to receive our expert solutions in security systems, HVAC or mechanical service, and building automation for commercial buildings.

Security System Solutions Through NASPO

NASPO (National Association of State Procurement Officials) is a non-profit organization that provides procurement resources and education. They facilitate public procurement through their purchasing program, NASPO ValuePoint, of which LONG is an awarded vendor. NASPO can be utilized for any commercial facility, but we specialize in state-occupied administrative and public safety buildings like jails, prisons, DOC (Department of Corrections) facilities, and courthouses. Our contact with NASPO (originally awarded to Justice Systems, (which we recently acquired) covers the following security system solutions:

  • Access Control Systems
  • Burglar Alarm Systems
  • Surveillance Services and Equipment
  • High Security Controls Systems

You can view our official NASPO ValuePoint portfolio here.

Facility Solutions Through WSIPC

WSIPC (Washington School Information Processing Cooperative) is a non-profit organization that provides technology services, support, and training as well as a purchasing program based on negotiated pricing. Though awarded in compliance with Washington procurement requirements, this purchasing program can still be utilized within Alaska. Any commercial facility can benefit from WSIPC but we primarily specialize in K-12 schools and native corporations. Our awarded contract with WSIPC can be continually amended, so if our current contract does not cover the services you need, it can be modified to cover a broader scope of work. Unlike NASPO which is mostly a purchasing vehicle for electrical security system solutions, WSIPC is a vehicle for all the services our Alaska team offers:

  • Commercial security system solutions
  • HVAC service and mechanical maintenance
  • Building automation solutions

You can view our purchasing contract with WSIPC here.

Not sure where to begin? Our team is experienced with both NASPO and WSIPC and can help you get started. We can advise on which procurement vehicle would best suit your needs, provide application guidance, and support you through the process with answers to any of your questions.
