National Nonprofit Day Celebrates Giving back

August 17th is National Nonprofit day: a day to take the time to think about the kind hearts behind the nonprofit organizations that serve our communities. For LONG, one of the most impactful ways we support communities is through the LONG Endowment Fund. It's our own way of giving back to the many communities nationwide that support us.

The LONG Endowment Fund is committed to strengthening and improving the lives our local communities. Each year, the LONG Endowment Fund provides support for community agencies in Alaska, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. Our focus on funding causes that serve children, those in need, and organizations that improve our environment. It is such a privilege to partner with these amazing nonprofit organizations and charities that give their time, effort, and love to those who need it most.

Last year, we were able to contribute almost $40,000 to 17 charitable agencies:

- Beacon Hill (Anchorage, AK)

- NeighborWorks (Anchorage, AK)

- Aurora Community Outreach Team (Aurora, CO)

- Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Colorado

- Denver Rescue Mission (Denver, CO)

- Project Angel Heart (CO)

- Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association (Denver, CO)

- Young Professionals Alzheimer's Association of Colorado

- St. Labre Indian School (MT)

- Opportunity Village (NV)

- Medford Food Project (OR)

- Stuff the Bus (OR)

- Camp Hobe (UT)

- #4TheAbility (WA)

- Back Packs for Kids (WA)

- CASA Wyoming

- Hunting with Heroes (Casper, WY)

It has been a wonderful and fulfilling experience working with these organizations in the past and every year, we look forward to more ways we can help give back in the future. We want to thank all of the nonprofits and charities out there from the bottom of our hearts!
