Niagara R2 for Programmers


Course Description:

This course is intended for anyone responsible for the engineering or operation of a Niagara System via JRE (Workplace Pro).

Course Duration & Fee:

5 Days (40 hours) - November 15, 16, 17, 18, 19

Price: $1,500

Overview:

In this course the student will learn all aspects of the Niagara system. The course will cover in detail system architecture, database design, logic programming and graphic page generation. This is a hands-on class where approximately 2/3 of the class time will be spent performing labs that will reinforce the lecture material. The last day of the class will be spent engineering an entire Niagara database that will encompass the previous 4 days lessons.

Course Prerequisites:
  • Working knowledge of Windows OS
  • Extensive experience with HVAC and DDC systems
  • Working knowledge of networking and internet technology
  • Completion of LONG Niagara for Browser Users course OR successful completion of pre-course test material
Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
  • Understand the Niagara system architecture
  • Show proficient use of the Admin Tool
  • Configure Niagara objects
  • Understand TRIPL programming
  • Backup and restore databases
  • Manage security
  • Setup logging and archives
  • Build GXPages
  • Use composites

  • Manage alarms via alarm console
Course Inclusions:

Upon the completion of this course students will receive a Certificate of Completion. We will provide all training materials including course manual, user guides and product data sheets where applicable. Breakfast (coffee and donuts) and lunch will be provided daily.
